The patient reported pain and food lodgement in the lower right second premolar. No significant medical history. Due to a busy schedule, he chose Magnum Clinic for quick, expert care. The goal was to relieve pain & save the tooth via endodontic treatment.
The treatment was initiated by the use of topical anesthesia followed by the use of local anesthetic using sterilised dental syringe. A rubber dam was used to isolate the tooth to create a sterile field. Due to the presence of a calcified pulp chamber and small canals, the access cavity was meticulously prepared during a first visit of 60 minutes, which involved the debridement of the nerve as well as partial biomechanical preparation.
Before the procedure, all the vital signs were observed. The cleaning and shaping of canals with rotary instruments were guided by the microscope magnification during later visits. After the obturation of the canals, a digital impression was made to fabricate the crowns. The final visit consisted of cementing a zirconia crown to restore the functionality and esthetics of the teeth.
